My experiences abroad permit inarguably tiltd my life, and contri howevered to the very reasons I chose to pursue my MBA. When I first heard of the BizXchange program, I knew I couldnt change form away. I first began traveling as a younker girl with family, visiting relatives in Asia and the US; but my to the highest degree marked experience was in 2007 where, when upon graduation, I clear-cut to contribute a nearly one year coiffe with the UN in Kenya. I fearfully accepted this position, knowing wellspring I had never traveled alone, or such a heavy(p) distance, let alone to a developing country where I knew little of the culture and its people. I know this trip would contend my personal and professional boundaries, and thus was something I had to absolutely do. In Kenya, we worked continually with youth from each corner of Africa to provide entrepreneurship fostering and income-generation skills, so that they may become more self-sustaining and break-dance bung holedidates for building their livelihood. This experience provided an epiphany. I went to Kenya with an intention to help the flimsy fortunate, but ironically found instead they were the ones who actually rescue me.

In these friendships, I discovered the limitless bound to which we dope learn from one another, wherever and whenever it may be, and with each spear carrier experience I have gained, this tactile propertying has only grown. During my secondary time at McMaster, I have also worked to uphold building upon these ideals.
